Doreen plans to develop local industries by establishing business incubators and small enterprise support hubsto foster entrepreneurship. These hubs will focus on key sectors like agriculture, food processing, and small-scale manufacturing, with a particular emphasis on supporting women- and youth-owned businesses. - Infrastructure Upgrades:
Road Network Revitalization is a top priority. Doreen will ensure timely maintenance of roads and the construction of new routes to improve connectivity between rural communities and markets. This will make it easier for farmers and small business owners to transport goods, reducing costs and increasing profits. - Community-Centered Decision Making:
Doreen believes in inclusive governance. To remove partisan bias from local governance, she will establish Community Advisory Councils that involve residents in decision-making, ensuring that all voices are heard and represented in government projects. - Public Spaces and Recreation:
Doreen will invest in creating multipurpose sports complexes and recreational areas to foster community engagement and provide young people with safe spaces to engage in physical activity and sports.

Doreen envisions West Portland as a world-class eco-tourism hub, where sustainability is prioritized, and the local economy is boosted through tourism that preserves the natural environment while creating jobs for residents.
Key Initiatives:
- Eco-Tourism Infrastructure:
Doreen will work with local and international partners to create eco-tourism packages focused on river rafting, hiking trails, bird watching, and cultural heritage tours, particularly highlighting the history of Charles Town and the Maroons. - Sustainable Development:
Sustainability will be at the heart of every tourism initiative. Doreen plans to develop eco-friendly accommodations, from sustainable lodges to green-certified hotels, that minimize environmental impact while promoting the natural beauty of the region. - Local Job Creation in Tourism:
Doreen will launch Tourism Training Programs in collaboration with hospitality schools, providing certification in guiding, hospitality management, and eco-tourism entrepreneurship. Doreen will collaborate with Heart Trust NTA and other training institutions to bring vocational training programs to West Portland. These programs will provide students with certifications in high-demand trades like construction, electrical work, plumbing, IT, and renewable energy management. - Partnering with Universities:
Doreen aims to partner with leading universities to create satellite campuses in West Portland, providing higher education opportunities in the fields of agriculture, environmental science, and cultural heritage management.
